Harassment & Violence in the Workplace

Today, managers and supervisors must be trained to prevent and correct harassment situations at work. With potential liabilities growing, management must understand their vital role in understanding and eliminating this phenomenon.
Using a variety of interactive activities, this course provides participants with the knowledge, skills, and strategies they need to identify potentially dangerous situations, resolve or properly respond to them. Everyone should be able to work in a safe and healthy workplace.
The training will allow management to better understand their crucial roles in:
- Identifying harassment:
Discussion of case studies and scenarios to determine whether conduct crosses the legal line. - Test the participants’ knowledge on the subject matter via quiz and case studies
- What workplace behaviors are respectful, inappropriate, or potentially illegal?
- What are the laws prohibiting sexual harassment and other types of harassment?
- Supervisor responsibilities and liabilities in the workplace
- Strategies all managers and supervisors must utilize to address inappropriate behavior to prevent illegal harassment
- Revising and Communicating policies
- Handling a complaint
- Investigating promptly
- Responding appropriately
- Confidentiality requirements
- Creating a harassment-free work environment
