Address any major concerns within the department and the company
Organize and provide onboarding orientation
Offer support and conflict resolution to all employees
Set HR policy for employees
Work with managers to increase their knowledge of diversity and conflicts in the workplace
Create initiatives around the company to help integrate support, diversity, and inclusion into everyday work
Oversee recruitment process
Create job postings, look through resumes, interview candidates, and offer employment when necessary
Work to promote a diverse, inclusive, and team-oriented workplace by implementing policies and programs
Help with recruitment and onboarding
Work with Employee Relations Manager to provide possible solutions to employee conflict in any department
Assist the Recruitment/Talent Acquisition Manager with the recruitment process
Work with manager to prepare job postings, set up interviews, and keep records
Coordinate and participate in recruitment events and initiatives
Update social media pages to promote job postings
Assist with main HR duties such as constructing offer letters, keeping employee files up to date
Other tasks may include helping prepare for a candidate interview, filing, and data entry
Handle employee conflict
Develop new policies
Conduct performance reviews
Set up strategies on various topics to inform employees of conflicts that can arise in the workplace
Investigate employee violations and terminations
Must be qualified to train new employees during onboarding, or existing employees when updates have been made
Teach by lecture and visuals such as PowerPoint with anywhere from one to a classroom of candidates
Create awareness of the Provincial health and safety regulations, especially those that apply in the workplace
Provide routine processing of payroll and benefits
Help the Talent Acquisition Manager with onboarding for new employees by collecting payroll and benefits information, providing company policies, and arranging health and safety orientation
Ensure the confidentiality of HR records containing employee information, including bank information
Respond to HR Director and any employee inquiries in a timely manner
Write a risk management plan for when incidents occur in the workplace – what will you do? How will you handle the situation?
Ensure that all incidents are handled as efficiently as possible
Create awareness of risk management plan throughout the company
