Occupations In Demand Stream

Within Nova Scotia’s Provincial Nominee Program, the Occupations in Demand immigration stream targets specific NOC C, intermediate-skilled occupations that are in high labour market demand in the province. The Office of Immigration identifies occupations based on labour market information and eligible occupations are subject to change.

This stream is currently open to workers in 2 NOC C job categories:

NOC 7511

transport truck drivers

NOC 3413

nurse aides, orderlies, and patient service associates

To be eligible to apply candidates must:

N

have a full-time permanent job offer from a Nova Scotia employer

N

have 1 year of work experience related to the job;

N

be 21 to 55 years old;

N

have a high school diploma;

N

have the appropriate training, skills and/or accreditation for the job;

N

prove language ability equal to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 4 even if your first language is English or French;

N

show enough financial resources to successfully settle in Nova Scotia.
