Full-Time OS&D Claims Clerk

Job Description

Armour Transportation Systems is currently seeking a full-time OS&D Claims Clerk at our Moncton, NB location. The successful candidate will use dynamic problem-solving, a strong work ethic, and positive attitude to support our Claims Department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Tracing Shipments
  • Monitor and report OSD exceptions daily
  • Consolidation of returns for major accounts
  • Sorting Mail
  • Entering Claims & determining carrier liability
  • Processing Claims for payment
  • Written Correspondence
  • Verbal Communication
  • Scanning documents
  • Catalogue Photo Files on daily basis
  • Claims Prevention
  • Cooler Inventory daily
  • Dock Walks when required

Essential Competencies:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to type a minimum of 45 WPM
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a team
  • Ability to analyze information and draw appropriate conclusions
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and be attentive to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deal with customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Strong conflict resolution skills

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of warehouse operation and freight movement is considered an asset
