The 12 Week Tractor Trailer Internship program is the program of choice for the trucking industry in Atlantic Canada. This program is the minimum Industry Standard.
The 12 Week program includes 8 weeks of training at the school. Training at the school will give you in class instruction on air brakes, hours of service, map reading, first aid, etc. You will also receive behind the wheel training with a licensed Instructor for the School.
The final 4 weeks are Internship, which is done with a trained Coach. The Internship, which is set up by the training provider, is a vital piece to the program, this is where you pull all of your training skills together and go out with a Professional Truck Driver/Coach for four weeks. You have the added benefit of having someone with you to assist with any questions along your trip.
Upon successful completion of the 12 Week Tractor Trailer Internship program, graduates will receive a certificate from the Trucking Industry of Atlantic Canada recognizing them for their success.
